How to solve the problem when one email address is shared with multiple accounts.

Who this is for

This tutorial is for situations where one email address is shared with multiple accounts.

What need to know

While creating an account, the software will check if the email address is already in use and reject the creation of a new account with the same email address.

But due to historical reasons and data imports from other systems, there are many accounts with the same email address, particularly among family members or one person has multiple accounts.

Shared the same email address can still login

Because each account has its own password, so there is no problem about sharing the same email address. For example, email address john@example.com is shared by John and Emma. John and Emma can login to their own accounts separately, unless the password is different.

If the email address is the same for multiple accounts but the password is different

If this is the case, it can be a problem. After login, it can be any account that you login to. Easiest way to address is to change the password or login with REG ID.

You can use your REG ID to login instead of email

As indicated in the login page, you can use your REG ID to login instead of email. This solves the problem of having multiple accounts with the same email address and passwords.

If your account was imported from PlayFootball Australia, the REG ID is the FFA number issued by PlayFootball Australia.

If you don't know or forgot your REG ID, you can contact the association to get it. If you are in a team already, your team manager or coach can see your REG ID in the mobile app and website portal.
