I did not receive my password reset email

Tutorials / General Guides / I did not receive my password reset email

Check the common reasons a password reset email may not arrive.

Who this is for

This tutorial is for anyone who requested a password reset email but did not receive it.

What to check first

  1. Your email box might run out of storage space. We see a lot of instances where users' email accounts are full and cannot receive any new emails, especially with some email providers like hotmail.com, outlook.com, optusnet.com.au, bigpond.com, etc.
  2. Wait a few minutes. Some email providers delay automated emails.
  3. Check your spam, junk, promotions, or clutter folder.
  4. Confirm that you entered the same email address used for your account.

If the email still does not arrive

Contact your club or association and ask them to confirm the email address on your account. They can also be able to update your email address or reset a new password for you directly.

Common causes

  • The email address was typed incorrectly when you registered.
  • The email box is running out of storage space.
  • The account uses a different email address.
  • The email was blocked by your mail provider.
  • The account has not been created yet.

If you have multiple accounts with the same email address

If you have multiple accounts with the same email address, on the password reset page, you will be asked to select the account you want to reset the password for. Because each account has its own password, please remember which account you selected when you change the password.

You can use REG ID to login instead of email

As indicated in the login page, you can use REG ID to login instead of email. If your account was imported from PlayFootball Australia, the REG ID is the FFA number issued by PlayFootball Australia.
